Advanced wound care for complicated wounds

When to use SertaSil

SertaSil is meant for wounds intended to heal by secondary intention – regardless of aetiology.

SertaSil is intended for wounds characterised by low to high levels of exudate.

What will SertaSil do?

SertaSil supports 4 processes in parallel:
- autolytic debridement
- removal of wound infections
- deep tissue tidy-up
- granulation and epithelialisation

SertaSil returns the control of the wound to the immune system.
The immune system can now control the microbiome, i.e. the mini-ecosystem of the wound, and the healing process.

Types of wounds

  • Acute wounds:

  • Post-surgical wounds, e.g. infection or dehiscence
  • Trauma wounds, e.g. degloving injuries, lacerations and puncture wounds
  • Skin infections, e.g. moist eczema, dermatitis, abscesses, carbuncles and furuncles
  • Bite induced wounds, e.g. caused by cats, dogs, insects, mites, ticks and spiders
  • Gangrene
  • Non-healing wounds:

  • Leg wounds in horses
  • Pressure necrosis
  • Pyoderma gangrenosum
  • Burns:

  • Partial and full thickness
  • SertaSil can be used on:

  • Shallow and deep wounds
